Maine Coon cats and kittens are all over social media and it’s no surprise why. These gentle giants are gorgeous and impressively larger than life. Maine Coons (the official state cat of Maine) are one of the largest domestic cat breeds. It’s not uncommon for Maine Coons to weigh 20+ pounds (even the females) by the time they reach adulthood, and some of the largest Maine Coon cats (males especially) even tip the scales at more than 30 pounds.

With its shaggy, heavy coat, full muzzle, and tufts of hair on their ears and toes, the Maine Coon breed has a lovely, wild appearance, but these domestic cats are laid-back, mellow pets. It’s no wonder Maine Coon cats are one of the most popular cat breeds.

Are you obsessed with the Maine Coon cat’s size and beauty? Get ready to meet 8 of the biggest Maine Coon cats that are larger than life! We’ve rounded up some of the most adorable, irresistible Maine Coon cats on Instagram for your scrolling pleasure.

I am a pet parent to 4 remarkable and loving Tuxedo Manx cats. Mom, Precious, is 4 and her 3 sons are 3. I’ve had them since Precious came to my house pregnant at 6 months old. She and her 3 sons are unbelievable. They are so loving and sing, talk and unbelievable. I only had dogs, but fell in love with cats, too.
