I was adopted by a stray male kitten last year, originally, I thought he might have mange but when I took him to the vet for an examination and shots, the vet said the kitten was allergic to mites. I have been using Revolution on him, but it doesn't seem to be helping, also, he doesn't usually use a litter box (has one but usually goes outside since he grew up with my dog). I saw read where oral dose of food grade diatomaceous earth may help. Has anyone had any experience with this or any other product recommendations? He only eats dry food, so that is why I was thinking of a treat or capsule. Currently his front leg is almost raw (but I don't see him scratching or licking himself a lot)....any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Are you using Revolution or Revolution Plus?  And if he continues to spend time out side you may be fighting a losing battle.  And I'm concerned that you have taken him to the vet but he still has a front leg that is almost raw.  Did the vet prescribe any treatment for the leg?  If you want this little guy to live a long and healthy life you have to get him inside and using a liter box.

Actually, he is now @ 1 yr old...the raw leg is new....I took him to the vet this morning and he was given a Cefazolin injection and some Clavamox drops; the box says Revolution, but it says it is for fleas, mites, various parasitic worms, and heartworms.
